Role Overview
The Physiotherapist will play a key role within our interdisciplinary clinic, working closely with Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Manual Therapists, and Physicians.
The position involves assessment and treatment of individuals with chronic pain, complex health conditions, and musculoskeletal injuries. The Physiotherapist will collaborate with the broader team to deliver evidence-based, biopsychosocial care with an emphasis on patient self-management, functional restoration, and long-term health outcomes.
Please note this position involves one-on-one patient care with no access to passve modalities on site.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, including subjective history, functional measures, and clinical tests.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate education, exercise, manual therapy, and behavioral strategies. No passive modalties on-site.
Contribute to interdisciplinary care plans and case conferences.
Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with regulatory and third-party payer standards.
Participate in program development, including specialized pain management, return-to-work, and rehabilitation programs.
Provide both in-person and virtual care services as appropriate.
Mentor students or junior staff as needed.
Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with evidence-based practice.
Qualifications
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited program.
Current registration and good standing with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Physiotherapy.
Minimum $1million Liability insurance coverage is required.
Strong interest or experience in chronic pain, rehabilitation, or interdisciplinary care.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient-education skills.
Comfort with digital documentation and virtual care platforms.
3+ years of clinical experience considered an asset
Employment Details
FTE: 0.8-1.0 (negotiable based on candidate availability).
Compensation: Posted Salary above is an estimate based on base salary + commission compensation model and may vary. Mandatory benefits package (extended health, dental, virtual healthcare), paid sick time and vacation.
