Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as expertise in acute care settings, particularly within a hospital environment. The Pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness. Provide patient counseling on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions. Monitor patient medication therapies for efficacy and safety. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance with established protocols. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and wellness strategies. Stay updated on medical terminology, drug information, and pharmacy laws to ensure compliance with regulations.

Skills

Strong background in

patient care

with a focus on improving health outcomes. Experience in

acute care

settings, particularly within a

hospital

environment. Proficient understanding of

medical terminology

relevant to pharmacology and patient treatment. Expertise in

medication administration

, including intravenous (IV) therapies when applicable. Knowledge of pediatric pharmacotherapy for effective treatment of younger patients. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams. Strong analytical skills to assess patient needs and medication effectiveness.

Pay: $49.17-$72.59 per hour
