We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support within our optometry practice. This position involves assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering high-quality service to our patients.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes at the front desk.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients, conducting preliminary tests, and documenting findings.
Educate patients on proper contact lens care
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding their eye care needs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive patient experience
Requirements
Previous experience in an administrative setting is preferred, with a focus on patient care.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for managing patient information accurately.
Typing Speed of 40WPM
4-5 days of 7-8 hour shifts including one Saturday or Sunday
