Full Time Loader Operator(s) Company Overview AIM Environmental Group (AIM) is an expert in the process design and operations of organics processing and material recovery facilities. Our team of professionals are leaders in our field providing subject matter expertise to accurately design a waste management facility. AIM Environmental Group is the prime contractor for the City of Calgary Composting Facility. City of Lethbridge Composting Facility The City of Lethbridge Composting Facility is new Facility Construction located at the
Lethbridge Waste & Recycling Centre. The Composting Facility will be designed to process Green Cart Organics from 34,500 single-family homes, 7,500 multi-family residences, and industrial organics beginning in the Spring of 2023. AIM is looking to build a new team to support this critical program beginning with current commissioning and partial operations during the winter to full operations in the Spring of 2023. Reporting to the Compost Process Supervisor, notable day-to-day activities of the Loader Operator will include the following: Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of large equipment in an efficient and safe operating manner including the following: John Deere 244L/624P Loaders, Komptech Nemus 2700 Trommel Screen, Komptech Crambo \xe2\x80\x93 Shredder, Ecoverse Tiger HS 55 Depackager, Lucknow 425 Horizontal Mixer, Operating and monitoring Air handling systems
  • Actively participates in labor duties
  • Inspect equipment prior to commencement and conclusion of each shift completing all daily maintenance and operating log reports.
  • Experience with Skid Steer, Scissor/Boom lift will be considered an asset.
  • Loads and unloads all organics waste products and materials into shredders, mixers, screening systems, and compost processing vessels.
  • Maintains a clean working environment promoting individual and team commitment to
OH&S best practices.
  • Identifies and reports any equipment deficiencies to the Compost Process Supervisor.
  • Actively participates in daily toolbox meetings and scheduled staff, OH&S and Environmental training programs and meetings.
  • Safely performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating a Front-End Loader/heavy equipment
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license is a requirement.
  • Landfill, Recycling, and Organic composting experience is an asset
  • Basic computer skills
  • Inclement weather working inside and outside.
Hours of Work
  • Hours of work will be 44 hours per week with the exact shifts to be determined.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle is required due to the remote location of the facility.
  • Specifically, qualified candidates MUST be available to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends.
