Smack Pet Food Inc. - Winnipeg, MB - manufacturers of the world's best food for dogs and cats - is seeking two Inside Sales Representatives to join our growing company. Smack Pet Food Inc. is a manufacturer of raw dehydrated food for dogs and cats. We are a family-owned business located in Winnipeg, MB. Celebrating our 18th year in business, we market and sell our products to retailers (B2B) and consumers (DTC).

The Inside Sales Representative is Smack's most external-facing position and is the first point of contact for building new client relationships. You will excel at creating and maintaining new client relationships with your clear communication skills, as well as brand & industry knowledge. This role is responsible for the growth of our company through outbound cold calling and sales activities to meet sales targets.

This individual will be highly-motivated and an enthusiastic optimist who enjoys being around and dealing with people. Strong organizational and communication skills are needed to provide support to clients, problem solve, prospect to attain new clients, close sales, follow up, collaborate across teams, and perform additional tasks as needed by management.

In this position, you will be provided with hands-on training by Smack leadership, who will work with you to develop the product knowledge, industry knowledge, communication practices, and sales know-how to excel in your role.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Meet or exceed your sales targets Prospect new clients through cold-calling Manage your client relationships while utilizing our CRM software and e-commerce tools Problem solve to overcome objections Provide excellent customer service and build client rapport Report on your sales activities Contribute to a positive office work environment Adhere to internal sales processes/company guidelines and policies Work with your leader to continually optimize your sales approach Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE



2-4 years experience with experience in high-volume cold calling

Excellent verbal and written communication on telephone and email Goal-oriented and optimistic mindset Flexible and ready to learn Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Excel) Must be a landed immigrant or Canadian citizen to apply Eager and enthusiastic to work in-person in an office environment with cross-team collaboration with people who enjoy working face to face.
