Responsibilities:

Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence at all times Greet, assist, and direct visitors in a courteous and professional manner Ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and property Conduct interior and exterior patrols and safety inspections Respond to emergencies and provide immediate assistance as required Complete detailed reports and investigations for incidents and occurrences Monitor patients and enforce hospital policies and by-laws Manage access control, keys, and safety compliance Collaborate effectively with teammates and supervisors Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

Valid Security License for Ontario Valid G Class driver's license and reliable vehicle Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor) Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination Immunization records for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2 (Completed immunization for MMR is required at time of hire - Applicants who cannot provide proof of MMR immunity at time of hire will not be eligible for the position.) Minimum 6 months of security experience (1+ year preferred) Must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training Must be able to site train at all four QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Bancroft) Must be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have:

Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) Applicants without these certifications may complete Paladin's UoF/MOAB training prior to onboarding. Training costs are fully covered by Paladin with a 6-month commitment to the position. Healthcare security experience considered an asset
