Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a positive first impression and ensuring a smooth seating process.
Efficiently manage guest reservations and waitlists, coordinating seating to optimize service flow and minimize wait times.
Provide detailed information about the restaurant, including menu options, special events, and policies, to enhance the guest experience from their arrival.
Promptly seat guests and escort them to their tables, ensuring a seamless transition from arrival to dining.
Address guest inquiries and concerns with a friendly, solution-oriented approach, resolving any issues that arise.
Maintain continuous communication with servers and managers regarding updates or changes to sections, guest concerns, and special requests to ensure smooth service.
Answer phones and manage reservations or waitlists with professionalism and courtesy.
Keep the front-of-house area clean and organized, including the host stand and waiting area.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure a cohesive and efficient guest experience.
Assist with various tasks as needed, including running food, supporting reservations, and providing general support to team members.
Qualifications:
You might have previous experience in the customer service or restaurant industry. We will consider the right person, with the right attitude who can back-up their abilities through previous work, or involvement in teams (school, work or sports).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing outstanding guest service.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
Enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and a desire to contribute to a positive and dynamic team environment.
