Job Overview:



We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team full time in our office in Sechelt. This role will report directly to our controller and part-time CFO. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day accounts payable/payments cycle, revenue and accounts receivable, key performance indicators (KPIs), month-end financial close, payroll, sales tax, and payroll tax processes.



Key Responsibilities:



Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounts payable and payments cycle. Handle revenue and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. Oversee monthly contract calculations and billings. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Update monthly dashboard and reports in KPI software. Manage the month-end and year-end financial close process, including preparation off financial statements. Administer payroll and ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations. Prepare and file sales tax and payroll tax returns. Oversee employee benefits with bookkeeper. Assist the controller and CFO with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



Bookkeeping designation or CPA designation preferred; however, candidates with significant relevant experience will also be considered. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, teams and particularly Excel. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:

$52,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
