We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our vibrant cafe team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing beverages, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming cafe space. Prior experience in food service or coffee preparation is preferred, but we are happy to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude. The position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork and customer satisfaction are top priorities.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries with professionalism. Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including food prep stations, dining spaces, and equipment to ensure food safety standards are met. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Assist in food preparation and food safety practices as required for food handling and serving. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Support team members in daily operations to create a welcoming environment for customers.

Skills

Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers. Proven ability in food safety, food handling, and basic food preparation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours. Knowledge of retail math, cafe operations, and basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions. Previous barista experience or coffee industry background is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration. Pay: $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
