Our newest location at Seasons Winnipeg is currently looking for Full-Time Assistant Kitchen Manager for future opportunities to work with us. Positions Available

BOH (Back of House Kitchen Staff) (Full-Time) - must have Food Handler Certificate


Pay: $25 - 28 per hour



Job Overview


Assistant Kitchen Manager are responsible for providing a memorable dining experience for guests by preparing all menu items and making sure all items are served to the guest in a timely manner. Assistant Kitchen Manager are responsible to execute the menus from supplier to guest as well as seasonal or featured menu changes. Assistant Kitchen Manager must exhibit product knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion.



Job Responsibilities:


Staff Management

Train new staff, coach and develop staff to deliver a positive and performance-motivated employee culture Manager shifts and staff performance Coach Line cooks in the moment to educate and inspire a change in behaviour Achieve a labour percentage in accordance to labour goal


Inventory Control


Follow and lead with proper ordering, inventory and receiving procedures Ensure Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly count are inputting correctly and timely in accordance to KRF Fiscal Calendar Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen area including organizations of prep area, back storage area and walk-in cooler and freezer Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize waste as per waste target and overstock




Quality Control and Operations

Conduct line checks, food and recipe reviews; Ensures that clear feedback is provided to the entire team. Conduct secret shopper audit at a minimum of once every monthly according to Ramen Quality Checklist Analyze customer feedback through external reviews to improve food offerings


Food Safety Compliance

Ensure proper all health, food safety and hygiene standards and policies as per Manitoba Health Inspection Standards are followed by team members Ensure consistent morning, afternoon and evening checklist to be completed including Temperature log


Sales and Brand Management


Assists in the day-to-day leadership and management of the restaurant as directed by the Kitchen Manager (KM) Accountable for key financials and KPI's in partnership with the management team Supports the KM in all aspects of operating a "Kinka Excellence Restaurant" to the Brand standards, creating a perfect guest experience every time Identify root causes to restaurant opportunities and develop action plans with KM. Resolve in a timely manner


Crisis Management

Handle emergencies or unexpected issues in the kitchen effectively Develop contingency plans for staffing or supply shortages Other duties as assigned


Qualifications


[Experience]

Minimum of 1 year of previous restaurant kitchen or cooking experience is an asset Must have Food Handler Certification


[Skills & Qualifications]

Strong communication skills in English; Japanese are considered an asset Energetic - ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team player - assist in a positive guest experience however necessary Proven ability to keep an organized work environment Food Safety certification is required


Physical Demands


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position works in extreme temperatures- hot and cold and requires standing for up to 8 hours per shift, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position also requires lifting to 40lbs from floor to waist, and waist to shoulder. This position also requires twisting, turning, and reaching.
