Bloom Child and Youth Counselling is a psychotherapy clinic specializing in children and teens, offering a variety of services to cultivate hope, nurture possibilities and support growth.

Our clinic is looking for a full time Affiliate Therapist to provide psychotherapy services to children, teens, and their caregivers at our Lakeshore location. This position is in-person. As an independent contractor, the incumbent will assess needs, set goals, provide therapeutic interventions, and establish strategies for success with clients. The position will start in September.

The Job:

Provide a variety of therapeutic interventions to children, teens, and their caregivers*
Incorporate strengths-based, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed principles (including the psychobiology of attachment)*
Engage in reflexivity within practice*
Maintain clinical recordings and documentation*
Ensure all clinic protocols and standards are adhered to*
Maintain the strictest level of confidentiality with all client and clinic information*

What we're looking for:

Graduate/Masters level degree in Social Work or Counselling Psychology*
Must be registered with the OCSWSSW or CRPO*
A minimum of five years clinical experience with children, teens, and families*
Training in a variety of therapeutic approaches (ie. CBT, DBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, etc)*
Excellent oral and written communication skills*
Ability to work collaboratively with the Bloom affiliate team*
