Full Stack Developer (Intermediate)

Our client, a healthcare benefits company, is seeking an Intermediate Full Stack Developer for a 3-month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will be located in Edmonton, but candidates working remotely within Canada will be considered as well. As a full stack developer, you will work alongside a small, internal development team in addition to an offshore development team to make updates to their internal system ahead of it\'s launch - which is rapidly approaching. The system has many external dependencies and will require experience with front end development, due to current rebranding efforts as part of the initial phase of this project. Once the initial phase has been completed, the Full Stack Developer will assist with business through building customized reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update existing web APIs to ensure proper configuration for seamless integration with external systems.
• Update branding on an external website to bring outdated components up to the brand standard.
• Create / update / maintain high-quality external customer-facing reports.

Requirements:

The Ideal candidate MUST have:

• 7+ years of in-depth, full stack application development experience.
• Experience working with Oracle databases.
• Experience developing web-based applications using Java.
• Experience working on front end applications using PHP.
• Experience with data modeling.
• Expert-level knowledge of web APIs with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize them.
• Expertise in creating and maintaining internal and external reports.
• Proven track record of being a self-starter and ability to provide immediate value to an ongoing project.
