Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. This role requires expertise in managing a full range of accounting responsibilities, including financial reporting, tax filings, and payroll processing. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements to support decision-making.
• Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and ensuring accuracy.
• Manage online banking activities, including payments and transfers.
• Handle tax filings, including organizational and unit-specific taxes.
• Process employee timesheets and ensure payroll reports are accurate and timely.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Conduct cash flow analysis to support financial planning and budgeting.
• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or property accounting.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Simply Accounting, Spectra and Dayforce.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with payroll systems, such as ADP and Dayforce.

• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

• Experience with annual budgeting and cash flow management.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
