Robert Half is seeking candidates for an excellent Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity. Are you proficient at multitasking, communicating, organizing, and managing your time? You will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, such as preparing financial statements, and establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a short-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity in Oakville, Ontario.Your responsibilities in this role- Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner- Preserving historical records through accurate filing of documents- Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers- Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections- Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows- Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll- Following progress of fixed assets to prepare depreciation schedules- Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management
- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds- Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports- 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping- Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills- High school diploma or comparable diploma with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred- General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)- Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)- Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel- Background working with QuickBooks- Billing Functions experience highly preferred- Experience with Microsoft Outlook- Microsoft Office Suites experience- ADP Financial Services experience- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Software Systems- Adeptness in Accounting Functions- Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations- Previous experience with payroll preferred- Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting- Prior experience with Excel and Peachtree- Capable of working independently with minimal oversight- Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when requiredRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
