In this role, you will handle all general accounting and bookkeeping functions including the preparation of financial statements; and establishing and maintaining the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business. This short-term contract / contract Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Burlington, Ontario.
Your responsibilities in this role - Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
- Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll; cheque run
- Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents
- Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections- Can work independently with minimal supervision- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical- Accounts Payable (AP) experience- Experience with bank reconciliations- Well-founded grasp of payroll- Accounting Functions experience required- Proven knowledge of Sage 50- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience- Microsoft Excel experience desired- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience- Background in payroll preferred- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments- Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports- Strong organization skillRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
