The location of this role is flexible, but will report to KONE Americas Headquarters in Lisle IL.

Are you ready to make your next career move to join our team and be responsible for planning, process and control of the full chain of responsibilities for major projects for KONE Americas?

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting and harmonizing the practices between the Front Line (FL) and the Supply Chain (SL) in the major project processes (i.e. quality implementation, full chain margin transparency, project review and project management). You will have a constant focus on achieving zero lost time accidents and on-time delivery while delivering improved project margin. Partnership with KONE\'s global installation team and major project unit to ensure support of Americas project management will be critical.

Essential Functions:

Develop and implement a project management plan utilizing KONE business processes that is scalable and transferable.

Ensure major project success by coordination, clear communication and transparency with the FL and SL during tender, design submission, contract review, order placement, start-up meetings, project review and execution, closure and life cycle references; validating that SL sourcing and logistics, estimate, schedule and execution plans are achievable, consistent with and support KONE solutions; supporting the FL project manager and the site installation teams to achieve financial and operations (Safety, schedule, scope) success; identifying and securing opportunities for project expansion through change order and claim management; identifying and mitigating business and operational risks in the project.

Develop the skills of the FL project management team in order to expand local capability and capacity.

Additional Responsibilities:

Manages corporate compliance, proper business practices and code of conduct.

Ensures operations conform to local, state and federal regulations.

Establishes and maintains positive public relations to promote a reputation of quality for KONE.

Collaborate with Global and Area PMO offices to outline / develop tools and process as applicable to KONE\'s North American business objectives

Education:

  • 4-year degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent experience.
Experience:
  • At least 5 years total project management experience including managing people, budgets, and planning.
Specific Knowledge:
  • Comprehensive understanding of KONE\xe2\x80\x99s processes, policies and contracts/product offerings.
  • Familiarity with competitor product offerings and practices.
  • Sound working knowledge of construction industry.
  • Laws and regulations regarding safety and environmental governmental regulations.
