Fulfillment Operations Manager

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Fulfillment Operations Manager to lead and optimize our 3PL fulfillment warehouse. This role is responsible for overseeing all warehouse staff and workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured environment, sets clear expectations, and builds accountability through transparent performance standards. This individual will develop and refine systems, measure results, and drive continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Leadership & Oversight

Manage and lead a team of 10+ staff across receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory. Provide clear expectations, direction, and feedback to maintain consistency and accountability. Foster a culture of responsibility, teamwork, and transparent communication.

Process & Efficiency Optimization

Design, implement, and maintain standardized workflows across all warehouse functions. Continuously improve warehouse layout, flow, and productivity using data-driven insights. Identify and resolve inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and errors to achieve high throughput with minimal waste.

Performance Management & KPIs

Define and track KPIs for order accuracy, pick/pack speed, shipping turnaround, inventory accuracy, and staff productivity. Support and guide staff in meeting performance targets, celebrating successes, and addressing challenges constructively. Provide regular performance reporting to management with recommendations for improvement.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure order accuracy and compliance with client and marketplace requirements. Develop and maintain warehouse policies that promote safety, accuracy, and accountability.

Safety & WHMIS

Ensure a safe and compliant workplace by enforcing health, safety, and WHMIS standards. Conduct regular safety training and refreshers for all staff, including handling and storage of hazardous materials. Maintain accurate safety documentation, incident reports, and compliance records. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to promote a safe, efficient, and organized warehouse environment.

Technology & Systems

Operate and optimize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related fulfillment technologies. Use data and reporting tools to monitor performance and drive improvements. Ensure staff are well-trained and confident in system use.

Team Development

Motivate, coach, and develop staff to achieve strong productivity and accuracy. Encourage accountability and consistency while providing support for professional growth. Build a culture of discipline, responsibility, and continuous improvement.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience managing a warehouse or fulfillment center (3PL experience strongly preferred). Strong process orientation with the ability to design, document, and maintain workflows and policies. High level of comfort with technology, data analysis, and WMS systems. Skilled in KPI tracking, performance reporting, and operational improvements. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership abilities. Experience in Lean/6? (Six Sigma), process improvement, or operations excellence is a plus. WHMIS certification and/or demonstrated experience in warehouse safety management strongly preferred.

Success in This Role Means:

Orders are shipped on time, accurately, and in compliance with requirements. Staff consistently meet productivity and KPI targets with clear accountability. Safety standards and WHMIS compliance are consistently met and upheld. Policies and processes are respected, repeatable, and continuously improving. Warehouse operations scale efficiently as the company grows.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
