Duties

Operate trucks to transport freight between designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record. Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations. Basic automotive repair skills are preferred for minor maintenance tasks. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
