They will ensure that all mobile and stationary equipment receive fuel or lubricants on a regular basis to maintain production levels.Essential Duties

  • Responsibilities will include and are not limited to operation of the fuel and lube trucks
  • Inspection and maintenance of the equipment, components and systems that are integral to the operation's mining activities and facilities
  • Working outside during all four seasons rotating between day and night shift
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and streamline work processes
  • Greasing of all manual grease points on dozers and excavators must be completed minimum of every 12 hour intervals during fueling to prevent extended down times for lubrication issues, (such as Machining)
  • Operator to identify and report deficiencies (such as grease not entering zerks) and provide feedback on all equipment after fueling or lubricating to supervisor,
  • Create notifications for deficiencies found on equipment.
  • Use of computer to input time sheets, work order notes, equipment cleanliness information, and shift turn over notes
  • Assist with other maintenance activities as required
Training & Experience
  • Valid Class 3 drivers license required with airbrakes endorsement. Competency driving a vehicle with a standard transmission required
  • Grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years industrial/mining work experience preferred
  • A clear understanding of the requirement of machine lubrication and correct maintenance practices
  • Candidate must be capable of working outside during all four seasons with appropriate personnel protective equipment and rain suits
  • Candidates to provide information re: Safety Program related training and experience plus other related tickets and certificates
  • Must be capable of working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physically capable of lifting (50 lbs), carrying, bending, twisting, crouching, and kneeling in a physically demanding and fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision once familiar with requirements
  • A team player that works well with others
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
