Fuel and Lube Technician
to support the growing needs of our team!
The Fuel and Lube Technician will be responsible for service and preventative maintenance on a variety of field equipment, following maintenance schedules, fueling equipment as required, and completing tech reports for each unit.
This position is a
4 day per week, 12 hour per day, camp position
at our client site (Suncor Fort Hills). The work environment includes secluded areas and varying weather conditions in an on-site mining environment. The incumbent
MUST be local to Fort McMurray and stay in camp all shift.

Responsibilities
Performing oil changes, lubrication services and fueling to our on-site equipment.
Identifying mechanical problems and reporting them to the site superintendent.
Utilizing hand tools and power tools effectively to perform maintenance tasks.
Able to repeatedly lift 23KG (50LBS).
Effectively perform pre- and post-rental inspections on our on-site equipment.
Conduct regular and routine inspections of worksites and equipment with the intention of identifying, assessing, and controlling all hazardous conditions.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
Ensure a clean and safe working environment in the service area.
Maintaining the fuel and lube truck.
Communicating with crews to coordinate work and provide updates.
Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership.
Promote and communicate Inner City Diesel's HSE culture among all workers and contractors by insisting on safe work performance throughout operations.
Ensure adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE, is supplied, readily accessible, properly used and maintained.
Perform any other job-related duties as requested by site superintendent.
Attend and participate in site specific orientations as required.
Ensure adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE, is supplied, readily accessible, properly used and maintained.
Promote and ensure the FLRA process is conducted before every task.
Report and refuse unsafe work and report unsafe conditions immediately.
Complete near miss reports and hazard IDs.
Report all incidents and hazards to the site superintendent.
Required Qualifications:
2-3 years experience working in a mine setting.
2-3 years experience operating a fuel and lube truck.
Completion of all site specific training, courses, and certificates post hire.
Experience using hand tools and power tools.
Able to lift up to 23KG (50LBS) safely as required by the job.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Successful candidates must have following prior to confirmation of their start date:
Comprehensive alcohol and drug test clearance letter
Copy of valid class 5 driver's license
Copy of current 3-5 year clean driver's abstract
Copies of training certificates related to site-based work
