Olde Tyme Candy Shoppe is a retail candy store specializing in novelty, retro and imported confections. We pride ourselves in our extensive selection of retail goods, as well as our homemade fudge.

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Fudge Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating delicious fudge and other confections that delight our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in cooking and baking, and possess excellent food handling skills.

This is a production based role, your schedule is flexible provided production requirements are met. Must be self motivated, detail oriented, reliable, good with time management and be able to work without supervision.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook fudge using various recipes and techniques. Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations throughout the production process. Package finished products attractively for sale while maintaining freshness. Assist in the preparation of other confections as needed. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace. Place orders for fudge ingredients.

Experience

Previous experience in cooking or baking within the food industry is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and equipment used in a kitchen setting. Experience in customer service is a plus, as you may interact with customers directly. Skills in packaging and presenting food items attractively are beneficial. A creative mindset for developing unique fudge flavors is highly valued.
