Additional Details: This open minded and chill household near University Hill (UBC), is looking for an experienced, communicative but, most importantly, kind and loving Nanny for their adorable daughter who is 2 years old. The general schedule will be Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM, although start and end times are a bit flexible. You could start as late as 7am. On Wednesdays, it would be helpful if the nanny could stay until 3:30pm. The start date is also flexible. Ideally, they are looking for a nanny who is wonderful with children and who is knowledgeable in child development milestones and can aid in their daughter's growth and development. Someone who is fun and energetic but can also be gentle, soothing and nurturing. You must be able to read the room and know when to step in and when to step out and give privacy. While this is an intimate role, they are looking for a nanny who is discrete, and who practices professionalism. Honesty, humility, kindness, and trust are of utmost importance! This child-focused role will include duties such as playtime, providing a stimulating environment and taking the child to classes and activities. Duties in addition to complete childcare include laundry, tidying the house as you use things with the child. Some household duties are required like wiping down kitchen areas after cooking, vacuuming or swiffering the main floor daily, and helping with taking out garbage and recycling.
Cooking and meal prep relating to the child is required but if there is more time in the day because the parents are with the child at activities that is a great time to prioritize making dinner or doing some cleaning/organizing.The priority is always the child over cleaning or house work. The family employs a housekeeper, so no deep cleaning is needed, but they do appreciate a clean and tidy home so someone who can clean as they go would be a great fit here! Their daughter is a sweet, kind, funny, and happy toddler. She loves to observe everything. She enjoys walks, classes, art, music, dancing, cleaning, and playing with her peers. She has one nap at midday for between 2-3 hours. If you have experience with high net worth/high profile families that would be a big bonus. The Nanny should be well versed in setting boundaries and is the epitome of professionalism and discretion. This is a progressive-minded family and they want a nanny who respects the LGBTQ+IA2S and BIPOC communities and values differences in all people. The family would love to have the Nanny join them for family vacations to the US and internationally, so if you are up for adventures, this is the family for you! A driver is required, and a car is provided. There are no pets in the home. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications, in the range of $25-$35hr gross. A transit pass, a year end bonus and random paid days off (on top of vacation) may also be offered. The parents are vaccinated and are seeking a nanny who is vaccinated as well.
