Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to grocery department team members.
Ordering, receiving, warehousing, and merchandising of grocery inventory.
To ensure outstanding courteous customer service is always provided in the department, and to take prompt action in dealing with any customer inquiries and concerns.
To be responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards within the department and adherence and enforcement of Prairie North Co-op policies and procedures.
To ensure that the co-operative's standards in the areas of customer service, merchandising, health and safety, and loss prevention are being met and to take appropriate corrective action in any areas of deficiencies.
Assistance in the planning and organization of merchandise displays for regular items as well as for special sales and promotional events.
To maintain a constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise.
To be willing and able to both perform and supervise front end, sales floor and warehouse duties.
Responsible for setting and modelling the standard for guest service and will be expected to resolve customer concerns within established guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a self-starter and demonstrate professionalism, Co-op Brand values, and possess strong communication and leadership abilities.
Grade 12 Education
Must have a solid understanding of processes in the grocery department.
Must be available for various shifts include working evening and weekend shift rotations.
Must have a valid class 5 driver's license (for delivery duties)
Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset
* Ability to consistently lift a minimum of 50lbs.
