Full job descriptionJob Statement: The Sanitation Cleaner is responsible for cleaning the facilities according to Good Sanitation Practices while meeting safe quality food standards. Essential Functions: \xc2\xb7 Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building (Includes whole premise including manufacturing area). \xc2\xb7 Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty garbage containers daily. \xc2\xb7 Scrubbing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures. \xc2\xb7 Stocking and supplying paper towel, soap, sanitizer and cups inn designated areas in the facility \xc2\xb7 Adhere to SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) in doing the given tasks at all times. \xc2\xb7 Observe Health & Safety procedures at all times and report to Supervisor any observations that pose risks in the performance of duties. \xc2\xb7 Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition. \xc2\xb7 Notify management of any repairs or maintenance required \xc2\xb7 Follow good sanitation practice at all times. \xc2\xb7 Attend required trainings and sign-up report forms on a timely manner. \xc2\xb7 Contribute to team work and foster positive working relations with peers, co-employees and superiors. \xc2\xb7 Complete paper work for the assigned tasks. \xc2\xb7 Preforms other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Physical Demand: \xc2\xb7 May be required to stand/ sit/ walk for long periods of time. \xc2\xb7 May be required to perform repetitive motions. \xc2\xb7 May engage in frequent bending, stooping or squatting. \xc2\xb7 May be required to twist, turn, climb and/or crawl. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions which include extreme heat, humidity and cold. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work in tight or enclosed spaces. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work with chemicals and be able to read and understand WHMIS & SDS information. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 25kg/50lb Health and Safety: \xc2\xb7 Conduct all Job Tasks in a Safe and Responsible manner. \xc2\xb7 Participate in all Health and Safety, GMP and HACCP training as required. \xc2\xb7 Report any accidents, incidents and unsafe/hazardous conditions to your supervisor. \xc2\xb7 Report any damages of property and machinery to your supervisor. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that you understand how and when to use the Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) that is located in your work area. \xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with OHSA, WSIB, MOL regulations and/ or laws that govern \xe2\x80\x9cworkers\xe2\x80\x9d responsibilities in the workplace (covered during orientation \xe2\x80\x93 section 28 of the OHSA i.e., \xe2\x80\x9cGreen Book\xe2\x80\x9d) and Compliance with Tradition Fine Foods Ltd. Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices, and HACCP Programs. Job Specification: \xc2\xb7 High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent \xc2\xb7 1 year of similar work experience in a manufacturing facility. \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. \xc2\xb7 Training in WHMIS and SDS would be considered an asset. \xc2\xb7 Ability to maintain working relationship with coworkers and subordinates. \xc2\xb7 Available for shift and weekend work. \xc2\xb7 Must maintain good attendance.
