Position Summary


Blendtek is hiring for an FSQA Coordinator who ensures compliance with food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements. This role manages audits, non-conformance investigations, documentation, and liaises with regulatory bodies, while driving continuous improvement and supporting QA functions.

FSQA Coordinator Responsibilities



Primary responsibility for maintaining, monitoring and verifying all aspects of the Company's Safe Foods for Canadians Preventative Control Plan, HACCP and SQF systems. Responsible for Conducting annual HACCP review and reassessment and updating the program accordingly. Participate and/or lead in external third-party audits, internal, SQF and regulatory audits. Oversees the Non-Conformance program, ensuring root cause analysis, corrective action. Maintain Documents, SOPs, and records associated with food safety and compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines. Initiate necessary processes, investigations, assessments, dispositions and courses of actions in respect of returned products Investigate complaints received with respect to the quality of product and, if necessary, take corrective and preventative measures. Monitor compliance for training, calibration, sanitation and pest control programs, and other activities which are critical to the operation and the GMP activities, as appropriate. Report on a Monthly basis the status of our Food Safety, HACCP and regulatory compliance to Senior Management. Liaison with CFIA; manage and keep up to date Blendtek's myCFIA online account Provide backup for the QA technician when required

Ideal Candidate Profile:



Ideal candidate has 3-5 years experience in Food Quality Assurance with in depth knowledge of HACCP, GFSI (SQF) and FSMA (PCQI). B.SC in Food Science or equivalent combination of academic and professional experience. Must be team oriented and have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and develop direct reports and skills to train and motivate associates on the manufacturing floor level as well. Must have a moderate to high level of computer skills, including data analysis and report writing of recommendations for corrective actions.
