Position Overview
We are hiring
Implementers
(Developmental Support Workers) who bring more than crisis response--individuals who understand trauma, value emotional regulation, and have the resilience to engage youth with complex needs. You will work directly with clients aged 12-17 in our group home and the community, implementing individualized support strategies under the supervision of a clinical team.
This role is ideal for someone with education in
mental health, psychology, or psychotherapy

What You'll Do
Implement trauma-informed behavioural and emotional support plans.
Support youth during dysregulation and use approved safety techniques when needed.
Engage in therapeutic rapport-building through conversation, games, shared activities, and co-regulation.
Take detailed data and documentation to support treatment planning.
Support functional life skills including hygiene, routines, and meal preparation.
Attend daily team huddles and contribute to collaborative problem-solving.
Respond to emotional and physical crises with safety, empathy, and consistency.
Uphold house routines including cleaning and basic home upkeep as part of team culture.
What You Bring
? Post-secondary education in
mental health
,
psychology
,
addictions
,
psychotherapy
,
child & youth work
, or
a related field
? Experience working with
high-risk youth
,
aggressive behaviours
, and/or clients with
developmental or psychiatric diagnoses
? Understanding of
trauma-informed practice
, emotional regulation, and relationship-based care
? Comfort using
containment techniques
when absolutely necessary (training provided)
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Self-awareness, professionalism, and teamwork
? Valid First Aid/CPR & vulnerable sector screening (preferred)
? SMG Crisis Training (or willingness to be trained)
? Minimum
: 12-hour shifts, 84 hours bi-weekly
Rotating 2-week schedule (provided during interview)

There are full-time, part-time and casual positions available
Compensation and Benefits
$24.00-$30.00/hour depending on experience
