We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front Store Manager to lead our retail operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily store activities, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and drive sales performance. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management to create a welcoming environment for customers and foster a motivated team. The Front Store Manager will be responsible for maintaining store standards, managing inventory, and implementing marketing strategies to enhance store growth.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employee performance
Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth shift management and adherence to company policies
Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets through effective team management and marketing initiatives
Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills
Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and cash handling procedures accurately
Coordinate purchasing decisions and manage vendor relationships for inventory procurement
Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and inventory tracking
Monitor store budgets, pricing strategies, and retail math calculations to maximize profitability
Develop marketing plans to promote store offerings and increase foot traffic
Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized store environment
Skills
Strong leadership with supervisory experience in retail or grocery settings
Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in negotiation, recruiting, interviewing, and employee onboarding processes
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for diverse customer engagement
Skilled in retail sales management, merchandising, inventory management, and POS systems
Competent in budgeting, retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
Experience with cashiering operations and cash handling procedures
Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of marketing strategies and promotional activities within retail settings
Demonstrated ability in team management, training & development, and leadership roles such as assistant manager experience or shift management expertise
