Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and enjoyably. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Duties

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately. Ensure that all orders are complete and presented beautifully before serving to guests. Assist in food preparation and meal assembly as needed, adhering to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods. Operate POS systems for order entry and processing transactions when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and needs promptly. Uphold high standards of food handling, cleanliness, and safety throughout the restaurant.

Experience

Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, including roles such as server, barista, or kitchen staff. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with guests and team members. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is important for maintaining a safe dining environment. Experience in meal preparation or cooking is a plus but not required.
