Job Description

Basted Baker is an award winning breakfast & brunch restaurant located in the heart of downtown Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast, BC. Our current hours of operation are 9AM - 3PM, daily with future expansion plans in progress to launch evening service.

We are looking for an experienced FOH Lead to take on the following responsibilities:

Coordinate daily Front of the House operations - working with the Barista team and the Head of the kitchen Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction Respond efficiently and accurately to customer issues Regularly review product quality and research new vendors Organize and supervise shifts Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning and paper products Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations Manage Basted's image and suggest ways to improve it Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste Create detailed reports on weekly and monthly performance Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations Build and foster an award winning Food & Beverage culture Administer FOH inventory and coordinate with 3rd party vendors as required to ensure operations are running smoothly
To be successful in this role, you'll need management skills and experience in both front and back of the house. We want you to know how to oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity. Back of the House (BOH) experience is also essential, as you'll be involved with certain aspects of the BOH operations.

We'll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure the Front of House runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences.

Requirements and skills



Proven work experience as a FOH Lead, Assistant Manager or Team Lead Previous Barista and coffee shop experience Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff Familiarity with restaurant management software such as Lightspeed, Marketman, Push, XTM, Google Docs, etc. Strong leadership, motivational and people skills Availability Thursday-Monday, during our busiest days Food Safe & Serving it Right Certificates
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
