We're looking for a

friendly, customer-focused Full-Time Front of House Team Member

who is excited to grow into a

Team Lead role

. This is a hands-on position that starts with delivering outstanding guest experiences and gradually includes more leadership responsibilities as you grow with the team.

? What You'll Do

Starting as Front of House (Initial Focus of the Role)

Greet guests warmly

and create a welcoming, positive environment that reflects Steel Wheel Brewery's community spirit.

Educate customers about our craft beer

, including styles, tasting notes, and brewing methods.

Take orders and serve

food and beer efficiently and accurately.

Process payments

for beer, food, and merchandise using the Point of Sale (POS) system.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and service area

throughout the shift.

Complete opening and closing duties

, following all start-of-day and end-of-shift procedures.

Growing into a Team Lead:

FOH Operations

- Assist with opening and closing duties, oversee service flow, and help ensure smooth daily operations.

Team Support

- Help train and guide other FOH team members, share feedback, and support a positive team culture.

Scheduling & Staffing

- Support with shift scheduling, coverage, and team communication.

Inventory & POS

- Monitor and restock FOH supplies, handle basic POS updates, and ensure efficient transactions.

Safety & Compliance

- Help uphold health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.

Cleaning Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of the taproom, beer garden, and service areas during shifts. Perform weekly deep cleans of the taproom and washrooms -- this is a key responsibility of this role. Prepare the beer garden/patio for opening, including, setting up bistro tables, washing any picnic tables and ensuring the grass area is free of trip hazards Ensure sanitation and safety standards are consistently met throughout all guest areas.

? Qualifications

2+ years of experience in hospitality or customer service (brewery, bar, or restaurant preferred) SmartServe certification Strong communication and leadership potential Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure Enthusiasm for craft beer and a willingness to learn Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and walk on uneven ground Availability to work evenings, every weekend, and holidays
