What you'll do:
:
Lead all aspects of food and beverage operations for the kitchen and bar after breakfast hours, including serving and bartending responsibilities.
Provide outstanding guest service by welcoming guests, taking orders, and resolving inquiries or concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
Ensure accurate handling, recording, and reconciliation of sales transactions.
Work collaboratively with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that enhance service quality, streamline operations, and support overall profitability.
Develop and update food and beverage menus as required.
Train, coach, and support new and existing team members.
Provide training on Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and cleaning practices; ensure all staff have a basic understanding of first aid.
Oversee completion of checklists, requisitions, and opening/closing procedures for each shift.
Monitor inventory, control costs, and account for wastage.
Assist with kitchen preparation when required; previous prep experience is considered an asset.
About you:
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn in-house software programs.
1-2 years' experience in related role.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening) and able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
Strong time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize.
Team-oriented attitude.
Ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Available to work a variety of shifts, including late nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
A background in culinary arts is considered an asset.
Valid Food Safe Certificate and Serving It Right certification is required.
