We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. This role is essential in ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient food service management, and a positive dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in the food industry, and the ability to train and develop staff effectively.
Responsibilities
Supervise front of house operations to ensure high standards of service and hospitality.
Train and develop staff on customer service protocols, food handling, and safety practices.
Manage inventory control and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate transaction processing using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar, and service stations.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to enhance guest satisfaction.
Assist in budgeting and financial planning for front of house operations.
Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in staff evaluations.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards.
Skills
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role within the food service industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary practices.
Familiarity with quick service & fast food environments as well as fine dining experiences.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Experience in team management, shift management, and staff training & development.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills.
Knowledge of inventory control processes and budgeting principles within a restaurant setting.
