Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials. Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, specifically Micros POS, ensuring all requests are noted. Deliver orders to tables in a timely manner while ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, offering recommendations, and upselling menu items when appropriate. Monitor tables for guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any needs or concerns. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while adhering to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations, to uphold sanitation standards. Assist with training new staff members on restaurant procedures and customer service expectations as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food service or hospitality industry is preferred, with a strong understanding of restaurant operations. Proficient in using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, with basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling. Excellent time management skills to efficiently manage multiple tables and prioritize tasks during busy periods. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience for guests. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food preparation and handling. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
