Front of House Service Lead

Trattoria Vesso is a vibrant Italian eatery in the heart of Halifax, known for warm hospitality, handcrafted dishes, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Front of House Service Lead to join our leadership team and support the continued success of our restaurant.

What You'll Do

-Lead front-of-house operations during service, delivering hands-on leadership while serving guests

-Support an engaged and knowledgeable FOH team through ongoing guidance, coaching, and on-the-spot training

-Maintain Trattoria Vesso's high standards of hospitality, service consistency, and guest satisfaction

-Oversee nightly floor execution including reservations, daily specials, table organization, and communication with the kitchen team

-Responsible for restaurant closing procedures across 5 evening shifts per week

-Ensure proper FOH cleanliness, organization, and completion of side duties by staff

-Assist the General Manager with communication, ordering needs, and operational priorities

-Provide timely feedback to team members and management to help drive performance

-Complete daily shift reports to document service-related updates, wins, and opportunities

-Confident in multitasking while maintaining a composed and professional presence

-Guest-focused with strong communication and teamwork skills

-Experienced in restaurant service (previous leadership experience is an asset)

-Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving
