Breton Crafthouseis seeking a friendly, experienced and skilled Front of House Manager. You would be responsible for overseeing all operations related to customer service, guest satisfaction, and the management of the front-of-house staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, and a passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities Include:



Guest Relations & Service:

Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained at all times. Greet guests and ensure they feel welcome and well taken care of. Handle guest complaints, concerns, or issues and resolve them effectively and professionally. Oversee reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements, ensuring smooth guest flow. Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; suggesting improvements; building relationships with preferred patrons and vendors.
Staff Management:

Supervise and manage front-of-house team members, including hosts, servers, bartenders, tour guides and retail associates. Train, mentor, and motivate staff to provide outstanding customer service. Ensure staff follow all company policies and procedures. Schedule and organize staffing based on business needs and volume. Coordinating time off for FOH staff Conducting interviews during periods of hiring, and regular performance evaluations and providing feedback to staff. Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and values. Ensure hosts are equally distributing tables to servers.
Operations & Efficiency:

Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including dining rooms, entryways, and bathrooms. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by following, and enforcing established sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations Work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service. Oversee opening and closing duties for the front-of-house team. Creating and enforcing schedules for cleaning, stocking & organizing
Inventory & Ordering:

Assist with inventory management, including stock of menus, retail items, napkins, utensils, and other front-of-house supplies. Coordinate with the management team for ordering supplies and ensuring the necessary materials are available.
Financial Responsibilities:

Assist in managing the FOH budget, including controlling costs and monitoring spending. Process payments, manage cash handling, and ensure accurate billing for guests.
Events and Special Functions:

Coordinate with event coordinators for any special events or private functions. Oversee the setup and execution of special events, ensuring guests' expectations are met.
Communication & Reporting:

Problem solving liaison between FOH staff Learning and relaying product knowledge confidently Providing knowledge and input and food and beverage products offered Regular meetings, reports and communication with GM on FOH operations

Skills & Qualifications:



Proven experience as a Front of House Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a similar role in the hospitality industry Team oriented with excellent communication and delegation skills Strong leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and manage a team. Strong working knowledge of operational procedures Demonstrates the ability to work effectively within a team environment and remains open to feedback and new ideas. A positive, friendly and welcoming attitude Confidence talking to and engaging with employees and guests Excellent organizational skills Exceptional problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, POS systems, and basic financial management. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Be able to work in a standing/ walking position for long periods of time and frequently ascend and descend stairs (up to 8 hours). Must be 19+ years of age Must have a valid Serve Right Certification. Keeping an up to date certification is a requirement of maintaining employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
