The Olde Stone Cottage is looking for a front of house manager to join our team

The Cottage is one of two independently owned, successful, "landmark" community Restaurant/Pubs. With our sister restaurant, The Stone Lion, we are all about great food and drink. It's a busy place where folks can relax in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

What you will do in this role:

Focus on guest satisfaction Coach service team on increasing sales and product knowledge Schedule all service staff while ensuring labor and cost targets are met Communicate and liaison with the sister location to share and ensure best practices Help develop and execute of front-line training and skill development program Oversee the strict application of our principles and standards to maximize guest experience Communicate and help implement in-house marketing and promotional programs Ensure the restaurant adheres to all legislative and government guidelines (i.e. proper and safe food and beverage service, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Human Rights Code, Employment Standards, etc.)
What we are looking for:

Previous supervisory/management experience working in a high-volume casual dining restaurant is an asset. However, manager experience isn't a must. Our candidate can be a server that is looking to move up the ladder. Post-secondary education, preferably in hospitality and/or a business related field is not required, but is respected Knowledge of general restaurant operations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to motivate and direct others

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
