Front Desk Agent will be stationed at the Borgata Lodge in Kelowna BC. We are looking for a part time candidate to cover regular days off and busy periods. Can be a full time position if you wish to couple with other departments (housekeeping/laundry). Schedule will typically be Sunday and Monday 9am - 5pm and 1 x weekday based on business demands. Option to do shortened hours on weekends if preferred. Front Desk Agent will be responsible for reservations, check in and check out, guest inquiries and services. The selected candidate will ensure reservations and guest records are accurate, communicate daily with teammates to ensure business activities run smoothly and assist with additional tasks assigned by the General Manager. This is an ideal position for someone looking to learn about the operations of a Hotel or Property Management Company. This is currently a seasonal position with estimated start date around mid April until the start of September. Further employment opportunities may be available on Part Time basis after this point. Candidate will report directly to the General Manager. Qualifications Grade 12 or Equivalent Post Secondary Education an asset Prior Experience in Hotel or as Office Administrator an asset Prior Customer Service Experience an asset Skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and organize accordingly for completion of daily tasks
  • Able to keep calm under pressure and complaint handle effectively
  • Self motivated to deliver superior service
  • Able to clearly communicate with teammates, guests and owners in a timely manner
  • Candidate will be expected to work in a professional and pleasant manner with others and contribute positively to team work environment
  • Knowledgeable or willing to learn computer programs, such as PMS software, Microsoft Word and Excel etc.
  • Answer phone calls and inquires in a prompt and professional manner
  • Must be able to work on own without supervision
  • Must be able to learn and execute sales techniques with confidence
  • Must be able to problem solve effectively and be confident in making decisions in General Manager\xe2\x80\x99s absence
  • Willing to work outside general job parameters to assist other departments from time to time and ensure operations run smoothly.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 4.5 months
Part-time hours: 24 per week Salary: $23.00-$25.00 per hour Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift
  • Every Weekend

All staff and customers are required to wear masks. Sanitization stations, barriers and occupancy limitations in place. Experience:
