The Rodd Charlottetown Hotel is looking for a talented service-oriented person to join our front desk team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To use guest's last name at every opportunity.
2. To follow Rodd Hotels and Resorts Front Desk Standards.
3. To receive and register hotel guests in a courteous and efficient manner in accordance
with availability, special requests, parking requirements and guest credit policy.
4. To provide impeccable guest service through communication to all Hotel personnel.
5. To accept, confirm, modify, or cancel room reservations, communicating changes to
appropriate departments, providing sales staff with "leads".
6. Using the Guest Recovery model, effectively deal with customer concerns
7. To maximize room revenue through active up selling, room types and room rates
when accepting reservations and upon arrival.
8. To operate and maintain all equipment required to perform your duties as a Front
Desk Agent.
9. To develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Hotel, Its amenities, Packages,
Programs, Events, Local tourist Attractions and other Rodd Properties, so you can
communicate in a "sales conscious" manner, when responding to guest inquiries.
10. To maintain guest accounts in accordance with Guest Credit Policy, communicating
all Direct Invoicing information and all circumstances surrounding uncollected
accounts to accounting department.
11. To maintain operating supplies through inventory and ordering procedures for room
card keys, all forms, paper and office supplies.
12. To develop initiative in decision-making, with the aim of maximising guest service,
