NORTH COUNTRY CUSTOMS (previously OKTire Smithers) is currently looking to hire a Front Counter Sales Representative / Service Advisor.
Job Overview:
As a Front Counter Sales Representative / Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service by providing consultation and explanations of required automotive services. You will be responsible for organizing shop jobs, preparing work orders, and ordering the necessary parts for upcoming jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
-Customer Service: Ensure all customers are greeted and welcomed to our shop, offering assistance and information as needed. Handle any customer complaints and disputes in a professional manner.
-Pricing/Quotations: Handle sales and provide competitive quotes for work, search for parts, and write up invoices.
- Invoicing: Ensure all invoicing is accurate and accounted for, and collect/process appropriate payments.
- Cash Handling: Manage all payment-related transactions and ensure the cash register balances at the end of each day.
- Front Area Presentation: Maintain the visual presentation of the front showroom area, ensuring that current products are displayed and performing necessary cleaning and dusting.
- Scheduling: Coordinate all scheduling of mechanical work and repairs.
- Parts Management: Order parts ahead of time for all jobs and fulfill requests by mechanic technicians.
- Work Order Creation: Generate work orders for mechanics using a web-based program.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
2-3 years of automotive experience considered an asset, preferably with a focus on exceptional customer service, job costing, sales, invoicing, and scheduling.
Preference given to candidates with previous mechanical/tire experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and earn credibility for a profitable business operation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently.
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Intermediate level computer skills.
Current and valid driver's license.
