Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Produce Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the quality and presentation of our produce section while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure the freshness and quality of all produce items by regularly inspecting and rotating stock. Assist customers with inquiries regarding produce selection, preparation, and storage. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the produce department, including cleaning displays and removing any damaged items. Operate forklifts safely to transport products as needed within the store. Assist with merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that promote sales. Process transactions accurately at the cashier station while providing friendly service. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient department operations and excellent customer experiences.

Skills

Retail sales experience is preferred to enhance customer interactions. Strong customer service skills to address inquiries and provide assistance effectively. Bilingual abilities are a plus, facilitating communication with a diverse clientele. Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with customers and team members. Knowledge of merchandising techniques to effectively display products. Ability to perform cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary work environment. Experience in cashiering for efficient transaction processing. Basic maintenance skills for equipment upkeep within the department.
