Job Overview

Part-time, contract Hours per week vary depending on each student's needs and the tutor's availability Most tutoring sessions occur in the evenings & on weekends Preference for tutors who can commit for the school year or semester Compensation generally ranges from a base rate of $21-25/hr, depending on educational qualifications and work experience. We serve students in- person & virtually throughout Orleans ,Cumberland and Rockland.

Duties:

Provide one-on-one tutoring in-person sessions to students Assess students' academic needs and develop personalized lesson plans Review and reinforce concepts taught in the classroom Assist with test preparation

Travel to and tutor in student's home (pre-screened for safety)/library or tutor virtually Monitor student progress and submit session reports for each student

Qualifications / Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Certified or retired teachers,professionals, student teachers, Education Assistants, etc. University/College students (completed at least one full year of University/College ), graduates, or post-graduates The ability/experience to tutor French Have knowledge of Ontario K-12 School Curriculum. Previous experience working with special needs (an asset) Previous tutoring or teaching experience in the subject area Access to reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and able to travel in and around Orleans ,Rockland, and Cumberland. Open to completing a criminal background check (Background checks from other agencies are accepted) Legally eligible to work in Canada
