Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate French Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and tutoring, with the ability to develop engaging curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. This role involves working closely with children of various ages, helping them enhance their academic skills and fostering a love for learning. A commitment to creating a supportive and effective learning environment is essential.

Responsibilities

Deliver French lessons tailored to students' levels and goals (beginner to advanced). Assist students with school assignments, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication skills. Prepare students for

TEF and TCF

exams through focused instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Conduct practice sessions and provide constructive feedback. Support students in building confidence, vocabulary, and fluency. Maintain student progress records and communicate effectively with learners and/or parents. Collaborate with parents and the A1 team to support student success.

Skills

Bachelor's degree in French, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred). Proven experience teaching French and preparing students for TEF/TCF exams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to teach both

in-person (Langley campus)

and

online

. Familiarity with the

Canadian French proficiency standards

is an asset. Familiarity with BC curriculum is an advantage.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
