Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced French Teacher to join our Language Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of teaching experience, with a strong track record of success in the classroom. They should also have taken the Test d'Evaluation de Francais (TEF) and the Test de Connaissance du Francais (TCF), scoring well on both. The French Teacher will be responsible for teaching students of various levels, from beginners to advanced, and creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. They will develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and contribute to the overall academic success of the students.

Key Responsibilities:



Lesson Planning :

Design and implement lesson plans that cater to students' diverse learning needs and proficiency levels.

Language Instruction :

Teach French language skills, including speaking, reading, writing, and listening, using a variety of instructional methods.

Cultural Integration:

Incorporate French culture, history, and current events into lessons to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of the language.

Assessment and Evaluation :

Develop and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate students' progress and proficiency in French.

Student Feedback:

Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their language skills and achieve their academic goals.

Classroom Management:

Establish and maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.

Curriculum Development :

Participate in the development and updating of French language curriculum and instructional materials in alignment with educational standards.

Use of Technology:

Integrate technology and multimedia resources into teaching to make lessons engaging and interactive.

Professional Development :

Engage in continuous professional development, staying informed about best practices in language teaching and participating in relevant training.

Extracurricular Activities:

Organize and lead extracurricular activities such as French clubs, language immersion trips, or cultural events to further enhance students' learning experiences.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in French, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Teaching certification or licensure in French language instruction.

Fluency in French, with strong proficiency in both written and spoken language.

At least 7 years of teaching experience in French, preferably at the middle or high school level.

Successful completion of the TEF (Test d'Evaluation de Francais) and TCF (Test de Connaissance du Francais), with strong scores on both exams.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse learning styles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.

Working Conditions:



Full-time & Part time position.

weekend work may be required for classes.

Both hybrid and online
