Job Description

We are seeking a

passionate and dedicated French Tutor

to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood or elementary education and experience working with children. This role focuses on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can develop their French language skills while cultivating an appreciation for French language and culture.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and tailored to diverse learning needs. Teach French language skills -- reading, writing, speaking, and listening -- through interactive, creative, and age-appropriate methods. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence. Provide individualized tutoring and additional support to students who need extra help mastering the language. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns. Collaborate with other educators to integrate cross-curricular concepts (e.g., basic math or cultural themes) where appropriate. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best teaching practices and language education trends.

Bachelor's degree in

Education

French Language

, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting; classroom experience highly valued. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French. Ability to design engaging, interactive lesson plans that address various learning styles and levels. Genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Schedule:

Evening shift Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
