JOB SUMMARY:



The French Marketing Coordinator at Boshart Industries serves as the primary person responsible for the company's French language marketing and operational efforts. The coordinator is in charge of leading the Plumbeeze Brand Transition and Bill 96 Compliancy projects; acting as the primary point of contact for them. The French Marketing Coordinator would be the active translator-on-staff for all English marketing materials that need to be repurposed for French markets.



The French Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Marketing Manager and R&D, QA, and Retail Sales teams in order to ensure the most effective marketing strategies are instituted at every opportunity. The coordinator also possesses the skillset and technical ability to perform many common Marketing duties: basic graphic design in Adobe Illustrator, speaking on camera for videos, developing social media content calendars, and more.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:





Duties include, but not limited to, as follows:

General Translation




Be fully fluent in both written and spoken Quebecois French & North American English in order to translate technical documents, catalogs, brochures, articles, video scripts, email blasts, and more into French from English

[Training will be provided] Understand moderate technical knowledge of how Boshart Industries products work in order to ensure all translations are technically correct (including proper use of industry standard terminology, where applicable)

Bill 96 Compliance




Read and be familiar with the Quebec government's Bill 96 law in order to guide the Bill 96 team on proper priority and process for Bill 96 compliance

Champion the already-developed strategies with the Marketing & Sales teams; noting overlap with Plumbeeze Brand Transition where applicable in order to maximize effort spent on both projects

Provide any necessary reports to Executive team on Bill 96 compliance status and modify roll-out strategy as new information about Bill 96 comes to light (whether through governmental channels, public media, or conversations with customers)

Plumbeeze Brand Transition




Track the process of the Plumbeeze Brand Transition (including close communication with Purchasing, QA, Retail Sales, Marketing, Warehouse teams) and ensure major milestones are being met

Lead bi-weekly Brand Transition meetings to ensure progress of greater team (including any necessary check-ins between group meetings to assist with progress)

Strategize with Retail Sales & Marketing teams on best methods of customer education to ensure maximum customer delight in transition process

Marketing




Assist with all common Marketing duties; particularly where French versions of pre-existing English materials need to be translated to French

Basic graphic design; creating French content from pre-existing English content

Working with Social Media & Marketing Coordinator in order to develop content for Boshart's French social media profiles

Working with Web & Marketing Coordinator to develop content for website, catalog, email marketing blasts

Working with Marketing Supervisor to develop email blast content for all other general emails going forward

If required, presenting information on camera (in French) and assisting with editing content


Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, applicable legislation, regulations, statutes, and departmental policies/procedures/practices and operational guidelines.



Perform other related duties, as assigned, that are following job responsibilities and/or necessary departmental or corporate objectives.

CORE COMPETENCIES:




Prerequisites




Full proficiency, written and spoken, of Quebecois French & North American English

Technical knowledge in Plumbing, Water Well, Irrigation, Industrial, or Wholesale industries is an asset (otherwise will be trained on the job)

Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily: Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign. Proficiency is an asset

College diploma in a related field.

Proven experience in content creation and project management.

Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), trends and platforms.

Experienced with Microsoft Office programs.
