Your Opportunity
This is a combination role that is specifically designed to support the Quebec region in Canada.
In this role you will provide assistance and expertise in reviewing, drafting and negotiating contract terms for professional services according to Stantec policies. You will also work with the subconsultants to coordinate required documentation for prequalification. You will also review and evaluate submitted packages, assigns subject-matter expert evaluation, manage documents, and provide feedback to project teams on results according to Stantec standards. Role offers the option for work-from-home, either full or part-time.
This is a full time, permanent position.
Your Responsibilities
Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contract documents according to Stantec policies
Identifying and communicating to project staff the negotiation items and other contract issues that must be resolved between Stantec and their clients, subconsultants and contractors prior to the execution of all contracts
Assisting with the negotiation of contractual issues with Stantec clients when requested
Reviewing and analyzing contract exceptions and modifications submitted by Stantec\'s clients
Reviewing requests for proposals from a legal risk and Stantec policy perspective
Customizing standard contract forms for specific projects when necessary
Keeping management informed of contract negotiation status and issues
Entering data and uploading documents to internal database system
Evaluation of a sub\'s work program in relation to local requirements, work scope, and using standardized evaluation tools
Contacting external parties to coordinate the receiving of information
Reviewing submittals to verify data based on work scope
Assigning subject matter expert assessment per specifications
Contribute to determining whether to accept a sub, based on given criteria
Keeping project teams informed of prequalification status and issues

Description du poste
Il s\'agit d\'un r\xc3\xb4le combin\xc3\xa9, sp\xc3\xa9cialement con\xc3\xa7u pour soutenir la r\xc3\xa9gion du Qu\xc3\xa9bec.
La personne occupant le poste fournit une assistance et une expertise dans la revue, l\'\xc3\xa9laboration et la n\xc3\xa9gociation de modalit\xc3\xa9s contractuelles relatives \xc3\xa0 la prestation de services professionnels pour assurer la conformit\xc3\xa9 aux politiques de Stantec. Elle travaille \xc3\xa9galement avec les sous-traitants en vue de coordonner la documentation requise pour leur pr\xc3\xa9qualification. De plus, la ou le titulaire du poste passe en revue et \xc3\xa9value les documents soumis, assigne les \xc3\xa9valuations techniques aux experts ad\xc3\xa9quats, g\xc3\xa8re la documentation et fournit une r\xc3\xa9troaction aux \xc3\xa9quipes de projet sur les r\xc3\xa9sultats de la pr\xc3\xa9qualification bas\xc3\xa9e sur les exigences de Stantec. Le t\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9travail ou le travail en mode hybride sont possibles.

Principales responsabilit\xc3\xa9 s
Revoir, \xc3\xa9laborer et n\xc3\xa9gocier les documents contractuels pour assurer leur conformit\xc3\xa9 aux politiques de Stantec.
Identifier et communiquer aux \xc3\xa9quipes de projet les points de n\xc3\xa9gociation et autres questions contractuelles \xc3\xa0 r\xc3\xa9soudre entre Stantec et les clients, les sous-traitants et les entrepreneurs, avant le d\xc3\xa9but des travaux.
Fournir du soutien lors de la n\xc3\xa9gociation d\'\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9ments contractuels avec les clients de Stantec, lorsque requis.
Revoir et analyser les exceptions et les changements aux contrats soumis par les clients de Stantec.
Revoir les documents d\'appel d\'offres du point de vue des risques juridiques et des politiques de Stantec.
Adapter les contrats standards aux projets, lorsque requis.
Maintenir l\'\xc3\xa9quipe de direction inform\xc3\xa9e du statut des n\xc3\xa9gociations de contrats et des autres dossiers.
Entrer les donn\xc3\xa9es et t\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9verser les documents dans la base de donn\xc3\xa9es interne.
\xc3\x89valuer les programmes des sous-traitants en ce qui a trait aux exigences locales et \xc3\xa0 la port\xc3\xa9e des travaux \xc3\xa0 l\'aide d\'outils d\'\xc3\xa9valuation standardis\xc3\xa9s.
Communiquer avec des parties externes pour coordonner la r\xc3\xa9ception des informations.
Passer en revue les documents soumis afin de v\xc3\xa9rifier si les informations fournies correspondent \xc3\xa0 la port\xc3\xa9e des travaux \xc3\xa0 effectuer.
Assigner les \xc3\xa9valuations techniques aux experts ad\xc3\xa9quats, selon les sp\xc3\xa9cifications.
Contribuer \xc3\xa0 la d\xc3\xa9termination des risques de travailler avec un sous-traitant donn\xc3\xa9 en fonction de crit\xc3\xa8res pr\xc3\xa9cis.
Maintenir les \xc3\xa9quipes de projet inform\xc3\xa9es du statut de pr\xc3\xa9qualification des sous-traitants et de tout probl\xc3\xa8me.
Qualifications
Your Skills and Qualifications
Experience working with legal contracts and/or experience in a Health and Safety related role would be an asset
Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite is required, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Thorough knowledge of English and French composition and grammar with excellent proof-reading skills, attention to detail and ability to learn new concepts
Ability to translate commercial and technical concepts between English and French
Keen attention to detail is a must
Excellent customer service orientation
Able to work independently and ask questions when needed
Open to learning new concepts and providing ideas
Looking to grow and develop individually and with the team
Strong sense of business ethics
