Freight Handler Fork Lift Operator Lead

This requisition is to backfill the position of Freight Handler / Forklift Operator Lead at our Calgary location. The role is critical for maintaining smooth warehouse operations, ensuring timely freight handling, and supporting team efficiency. This backfill is required to maintain service levels and operational continuity following the departure of the previous incumbent.



WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?



Leading and coordinating daily freight handling activities.

Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Assisting in training and guiding team members to meet operational standards.

Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.

Supporting inventory control and accurate documentation.



WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED; Minimum three years related experience. Minimum six months supervisory experience. Minimum two years industry experience, preferred.

Skills:

Forklift Driver Certification; Valid state issued driver's license, preferred. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Ability to drive and/or operate heavy equipment. Ability to operate forklift, hand truck and pallet jack. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Characteristics:

Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs and requests for service and assistance. Ability to command and control workflow processes. Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documentation. Ability to distribute work assignments, provide direction and train employees. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
