Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the logistics of freight transportation, negotiating rates, and building strong relationships with clients and carriers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that shipments are delivered efficiently and on time while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers to secure the best possible pricing for clients. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and account management. Manage the entire freight process from order entry through delivery, ensuring accuracy in data entry and documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supply chain operations and improve service delivery. Utilize industry knowledge to provide solutions that meet client needs while maximizing profitability. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and expand the customer base through B2B sales strategies. Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure seamless transportation services. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and status updates in relevant systems such as AS400. Provide exceptional inside sales support by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any issues that arise during the shipping process.

Requirements

Proven experience in freight brokerage or a related field is preferred. Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for both clients and carriers. Excellent customer relationship management abilities, with a commitment to providing outstanding service. Familiarity with supply chain processes and logistics operations. Experience in account management, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively. Proficient in data entry with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation. Knowledge of B2B sales techniques and strategies for growing client relationships. Experience working with 3PL providers is a plus. Familiarity with sales management principles is advantageous. Pay: $50,000.00-$117,397.16 per year
