The ideal person for this position understands the safety and priority of the animals in their care. He/she should be an independent and reliable self-starter with lots of energy and a passion for dogs.

Here is what we ask you to do:

• Exercise \xe2\x80\x93 Walk the clients\xe2\x80\x99 dogs to provide daily exercise and socialization.
• Other services \xe2\x80\x93 Pick up after the dogs during the walk, and if needed, provide food and water to the dog after the daily walk. Check the food and water supply for both dogs and cats, . Communicate with the pets\xe2\x80\x99 owners using our Client care system, and be aware of any medical needs observed during your visit with the pets.

Did I mention this job requires you to play with puppies and kittens too? For many of our Walkers, they say it is the best job ever! (see below for more on that).

Some basic job requirements:

• Prior experience working with dogs is preferred
• Compassion, patience, and reliability
• The ability to walk, run, pull, push, bend or reach
• The ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Capable of handling all sizes of dogs from small to large
• Local full-time resident of Ajax, Whitby or Oshawa in Durham Region, Ontario

How Much Can I Make?

Our Dog Walkers / Pet Sitters can make up to $1,000 a month while filling their dog, cat, puppy and kitten-cuddling needs each week!
