We are now entering a focused growth phase and seeking a freelance
Business Development Manager
with strong experience in B2B outreach, lead generation, and sales coordination--preferably within the marketing, advertising, or communications sectors.
Role Overview
In this role, you will:
Generate leads and secure discovery meetings with qualified prospects
Help build a consistent sales pipeline across Maple's priority sectors (CPG, retail, government, financial services, telecom)
Collaborate with the leadership team on pitch opportunities, RFPs, and client proposals
You will be compensated hourly and expected to deliver measurable results, with performance-based renewal after 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, referrals) to secure 5-10 meetings/month
Research and qualify leads across Maple's core verticals
Maintain and update CRM with outreach and pipeline activity
Support proposal development and pitch logistics with senior team
Track and report key performance metrics weekly
Ideal Candidate
3+ years of B2B sales or new business development experience (preferably agency-side)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable with cold outreach and proactive follow-up
Organized, self-directed, and metrics-driven
Familiar with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and proposal coordination
Knowledge of the marketing, advertising, or creative agency landscape is a strong asset
